The NEMO Vantage 26L is a commuter daypack rather than a hiking-specific one, built around the same recycled CERO fabric and CCubed padding as the larger Vantage travel pack. A large exterior pocket is sized for a helmet or an extra layer, useful for cycling to work or carrying a jacket you've shed partway through the day, and the fabric is rated highly water-resistant against a commute in the rain.
At 1417 g for 26 L (about 54 g per litre) it's on the heavier side for its volume, which tracks with the abrasion-resistant fabric and padded back panel rather than a stripped-down lightweight build. Like the rest of NEMO's Vantage and Resolve lines, it's made from recycled polyester and designed to be fully recycled at the end of its life. This is a daily-carry pack for city use and commuting — it lacks hip belt, hydration compatibility, and other hiking-specific features, so it's not the choice for a day out on the trail.
