Description

The Keith Titanium Folding Spoon (Ti5315) is a folding titanium spoon from the brand Keith, built as a minimalist utensil for ultralight backpackers. At 22 g it weighs a fraction of a standard steel spoon, so it barely registers in a cook kit's total weight. A hinge at the midpoint of the handle lets it fold down to 12 cm, small enough to drop into a pocket or nest inside a mug, while the extended length of 18.5 cm keeps it long enough to reach the bottom of a dehydrated meal pouch or pot. The brushed titanium finish resists corrosion and tolerates boiling-water sterilization without degrading, a property alloy or plastic spoons lack. A fabric pouch is included, keeping the hinge free of grit and preventing the spoon from getting lost loose in a pack. It suits thru-hikers counting grams as well as anyone wanting a durable backup utensil for everyday use; the trade-off common to folding spoons is a slightly less rigid feel at the hinge than a one-piece design.
