KULA CLOTH Brand

Description

The Kula Cloth is a reusable antimicrobial cloth marketed to women hikers and backpackers as a substitute for toilet paper during outdoor bathroom breaks. The silver-infused fabric is said to absorb up to ten times its own weight, so a small area handles each use, and the cloth dries quickly between stops. The printed outer side is waterproof, keeping your hands and the inside of your pack clean when you carry it. At 14 g and 14 × 14 cm (0.5 oz, 5.5" x 5.5"), it's about as light as gear gets, and a snap lets you clip it to a pack strap so it's always within reach. A reflective stripe makes it easier to find and use in low light or at night, when digging through a pack for small items gets tedious. The antimicrobial treatment is meant to control odor between washes, which matters for a reusable item — regular washing per normal hygiene practice is still recommended.
