At 50% DEET, it sits toward the top of the concentration range typically used for repellents, paired with Lifesystems' DermaLOC technology, which is claimed to keep the active ingredient bound to the skin's surface rather than absorbing or evaporating quickly. A single application is rated to protect for up to 8 hours, which matters on long travel days or in regions with high insect pressure through the evening.
