Made to match the floor of the Big Agnes Blacktail 4 tent, this footprint protects the floor fabric from ground abrasion and also supports a Fast Fly pitch - fly, poles, stakes and footprint only, with the inner tent body left behind. Fast Fly trims pack weight and setup time, which is handy for a quick overnight or trips where insects aren't a concern. Without the inner body there's no bug mesh and less separation from wind-driven rain or condensation, so the full tent is still the better call whenever bugs or sustained wet weather are likely.
