The footprint for the Copper Spur UL3 XL weighs 241 g and is made from 30D nylon with HyperBead™ technology at a 1,500 mm waterproof rating, shaped to match the tent's extended XL floor. TipLok™ buckles clip it directly to the poles and fly, so it stays anchored even without the inner tent attached. That's its main purpose — combined with the fly and poles, it enables the Fast Fly configuration, where total system weight drops to roughly 1,340 g, a meaningful cut from the full double-wall setup with the mesh inner body. It suits trips where bugs aren't a concern and rain or wind protection is all that's needed.
