Sea to Summit Escapist Mesh Bug Shelter

The Sea to Summit Escapist Mesh Bug Shelter is a standalone insect net designed to hang underneath the Escapist or Minimalist tarp, or to pitch on its own using trekking poles when full weather protection isn't needed. The mesh is a fine 0.6 mm no-see-um weave, tight enough to keep out small biting midges as well as mosquitoes, which a coarser bug net would let through. A waterproof tub floor keeps ground moisture and light splash-back out even when it's not paired with a tarp overhead, and it's sized to fit two sleeping pads side by side. It's a solution for bug season - warm, humid conditions with heavy mosquito or midge pressure - rather than a standalone shelter for cold or wet weather, since on its own it offers no rain protection beyond the tub floor.
