The Salt Creek SL3 scales the Salt Creek platform up to three people, keeping the same freestanding double-wall dome design, DAC Pressfit aluminum poles, and inner-first pitch. Three doors and two vestibules with 1.68 m² of combined covered storage give a reasonable balance of independent access without the tent turning into a three-door circus for a small group.
Fly and floor are 20D polyester ripstop with a 1500 mm PU coating on both, taped seams throughout, and partial mesh on the inner body for airflow without sacrificing all wind protection. Floor area comes to 3.9 m² at 2124 g minimum trail weight (2326 g including stakes and sacks), with a 119 cm peak height. Eight aluminum stakes, four interior pockets, and factory-taped seams complete the build; a footprint is available separately.
At 775 g per person this is closer to genuinely lightweight territory for a 3-person tent than most freestanding domes in its price range, making it a reasonable choice for small groups doing backpacking or thru-hiking trips where splitting shelter weight three ways matters.
