Construction uses continuous baffles rather than sewn-through seams, which avoids the cold spots that stitched-through insulation creates, inside a 10D nylon taffeta shell and liner. The footbox is trapezoidal and permanently sewn shut, with no zipper or hood. It's made in the USA, carries a one-year warranty, and the PFC-free finish keeps the DWR treatment free of the persistent chemicals used in older waterproofing. Synthetic fill shrugs off condensation and humid nights better than down, making it a practical pick for spring and summer trips in damp regions — at the cost of the compressibility a same-warmth down quilt would offer.
