The Fledgling YF 30 is the lighter, three-season version of Feathered Friends' kids' Fledgling bag, again sized for children up to 152 cm. A 253 g charge of 900+ fill-power goose down (US standard, RDS-certified) keeps total weight to 512 g, with a manufacturer-rated limit of -1°C (30°F). Compared to the YF 20, it adds a draft collar around the neck, while sharing the same construction otherwise: a water-resistant Pertex YFuse shell, a recycled 20D nylon taffeta liner (37 g/m²), and a full-length left-side zipper without two-way opening. Both fill and liner come from recycled or certified sources. At just 512 g, the Fledgling YF 30 is among the lightest kids' bags in the lineup and suits summer-into-early-autumn camping and backpacking with children, where the -1°C limit is enough margin. The fixed 152 cm internal length means the bag doesn't grow with the child — expect to size up after a season or two.
