The Feathered Friends Ptarmigan EX -25 is a unisex expedition mummy bag for polar and high-altitude conditions, filled with 1006 g of RDS-certified 900+ fill power goose down inside a waterproof-breathable Pertex Shield EX shell. At 1708 g total weight and a -32°C (-25°F) limit rating, it sits among the heavier, more rugged bags in the EX line — trading some of the weight savings the lighter YF models offer for reliability in extreme weather. The regular-length cut (up to 182 cm) runs fairly narrow compared to roomier bags in the range — 145 cm shoulder, 135 cm hip, 97 cm foot box — meaning a closer fit with less dead air to warm. The full-length, two-way zipper on the left side is backed by both a draft collar and a draft tube, and the 3D anatomical hood together with an internal pocket for batteries or a phone are practical touches for multi-day expeditions.
