It is the more practical, slightly heavier sibling to the UL 30: the same temperature range, but with a face fabric that shrugs off condensation and light moisture better than the ultralight Pertex Quantum Pro used elsewhere in the range. The mummy shape uses continuous horizontal baffles and a full-length two-way zipper with draft collar and draft tube, and the fitted, contoured hood is cut for a 183 cm user. A 20D recycled NetPlus nylon taffeta liner backs the shell inside. Neither stuff sack nor storage sack ships with this configuration, worth checking before a trip. 900 fill-power down instead of 950 means slightly less warmth per gram, so the weight penalty versus the UL 30 buys shell durability, not extra loft. It suits backpackers who value a tougher, weather-resistant shell over shaving the last grams.
