The Mountain Hardwear Phantom Alpine 30F/-1C is the 3-season counterpart to Mountain Hardwear's roped-bivouac alpine bags, built around 850-fill, RDS-certified goose down (285 g fill weight) inside a 10D recycled nylon Ghost Ripstop shell reinforced with 20D Pertex Y-Fuse ripstop at high-wear points. Unlike its colder Alpine 15F sibling, this one runs full-length zippers on both sides, and the bags are coupleable — two can be zipped together for shared warmth or ease of movement while roped in. EN 13537 testing rates it at 3°C comfort and -3°C limit, with a -19°C extreme rating; at 678 g total weight, that puts warmth-to-weight in a middle range for down bags at this temperature class, reasonable for a bag also built to shrug off rope and harness abrasion. The fitted hood and draft collar handle heat loss at the neck, though there's no draft tube along the zipper — a minor trade against the lower packed weight.
