The Warmpeace Viking 900 is a winter mummy bag with a 900 g duck down fill (90/10 ratio, 600 cuin loft to the European standard). A -7 °C comfort rating and -14 °C limit put it in the four-season, cold-weather mountaineering category — with an extreme rating down to -34 °C, this bag is built for genuinely harsh conditions, not a typical autumn trek.
That thermal performance comes with matching bulk: 1.37 kg and a packed size of 42 × 22 cm (roughly 11 liters) make it considerably heavier and bulkier than the summer-oriented bags in the Viking line. For ordinary summer trekking it's clearly overbuilt — the extra down would mean dead weight on warm nights and a real risk of overheating. Its place is where cold temperatures justify the added mass: winter expeditions, high-altitude climbs, or extended winter camping. The shell uses the same Loft Nylon DWR+ fabric as the lighter models in the range.
