Western Mountaineering Badger MF

The Western Mountaineering Badger MF is the winter, short-length version of the Badger, cut for users up to 165 cm with the same roomy mummy girth as the GWS variant — more space to move than a slimmer ultralight bag allows. Filled with 595 g of 850+ fill power goose down for a total weight of 935 g, it carries a manufacturer-rated limit of -10°C: a solid winter range without expedition-class bulk. In place of the Gore membrane, it uses a water-resistant MicroLite XP 20D shell rather than a waterproof laminate — lighter and more compressible, with less protection against driven rain or wet snow than the GWS. An insulated draft collar, a draft tube along the zipper, and a fitted, adjustable hood hold heat at the usual weak points, and the bag can be zipped to a matching partner to form a double. Packed to 38 × 20 cm, it's compact for a winter bag, suited to cold weekend trips or longer tours where real thermal comfort matters more than shaving grams. Made in the USA.
