The Western Mountaineering Sequoia MF is a semi-rectangular winter bag rated to a -15°C limit, filled with 936 g of 850 fill-power goose down in a 90/10 down-to-feather blend, wrapped in a water-resistant 20D MicroLite XP polyester shell. Continuous horizontal baffles keep the down evenly spread, and a full-length two-way right-side zipper with footbox ventilation lets you dump heat quickly if conditions warm up mid-trip. At 1475 g, it carries the same fill weight as some of Western Mountaineering's -32°C expedition mummy bags, but its roomier semi-rectangular cut (168 cm shoulder, 155 cm hip, 180 cm internal length) trades thermal efficiency for space and freedom of movement — reflected in a notably higher weight-per-degree figure than the tapered mummy shapes in the lineup. Draft collar and draft tube limit the resulting heat loss at the openings. This suits winter backpackers and mountaineers who value room to move and quick venting over the absolute lightest -15°C solution, packing to 46×23 cm (16.4 L) and fitting users up to 182 cm.
