Zpacks XL Airplane Case

The Zpacks XL Airplane Case is a protective case sized for a full 60-70+ litre backpack, meant to shield the pack's straps, hip belt and buckles from getting caught and damaged in airline baggage handling when checked on a flight. Once you've reached your destination and the case has done its job for the flight, it doubles as a pack liner inside the backpack, giving it a second use rather than becoming dead weight for the rest of the trip. The case weighs 3.7 oz (106 g) and is made from waterproof 1.6 oz/sqyd Dyneema Composite Fabric with taped seams, so it adds very little to the load it protects. It's specifically sized for large packs — if your backpack is well under 60 litres, the case will likely be oversized and a smaller travel cover will fit and protect it better.
