The Fidlock Hermetic bag is a waterproof phone and small-item case that closes with Fidlock's magnetic Gooper mechanism instead of a roll-top or zip-lock seal – pressing the two halves together snaps them shut and creates a seal rated waterproof to 30 m submersion, well beyond a typical dry bag or zip pouch. The clear material lets the touchscreen work through the case, so a phone can stay sealed while in use for photos, navigation apps, or maps.
It is also described as sand-proof, useful on beach approaches or dusty trail sections where fine grit works into imperfect seals. Two sizes are available: Medi at 110×180 mm and 60 g, and Maxi at 150×192 mm and 75 g, covering most phone sizes with room for a card or key alongside.
For hikers, this suits river crossings, coastal routes, or simply keeping a phone dry and usable during unpredictable weather, at a weight low enough not to register in a pack. It is a single-item case rather than a general dry bag, so it will not replace pack liners for bulkier gear.
