Description
The Zpacks Medium-Plus Stuff Sack is made from Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF), the same waterproof, non-stretch laminate Zpacks uses in its packs and shelters, closed with a simple drawstring rather than a roll-top or zip. Its Medium-Plus sizing is meant to pack clothing or a tent lying horizontally across a backpack, rather than stacked vertically the way a narrower stuff sack would sit.
DCF's main advantages here are that it doesn't absorb water and holds up to abrasion better than standard nylon at a similar weight, though it's stiffer to pack down small than a compressible nylon sack. It weighs 9 g (0.32 oz) in Blue, Olive Drab and White, or 11 g in Spruce Green's heavier 0.75 oz/sqyd DCF, and its 18 x 33 cm (7 x 13 in) size holds 8.5 l. It suits ultralight backpackers already using DCF gear who want a stuff sack that matches the durability and water resistance of the rest of their kit.
