The 2400 Junction packs Hyperlite Mountain Gear's 40-liter roll-top design into 833 grams, noticeably lighter than the Ice Pack variant in the same lineup thanks to dropping the load lifters and ice axe hardware. It's built from Dyneema Woven Composite 3.9, using DCH50 on the main body and the tougher DCH150 on the abrasion-prone bottom panel, and is offered in white or black.
The removable aluminum stays and contact-padded back let the pack carry a rated 18.1 kg while keeping the frame optional for lighter loads, and the hip belt adds two pockets plus a hydration-compatible design for on-the-move access to water and snacks — features the mountaineering-focused Ice Pack skips.
With one front pocket, two side pockets, and seam-taped Dyneema construction, the Junction is aimed at thru-hikers and multi-day trekkers rather than technical mountaineers: it trades ice-tool attachments for the pocket layout and load range that suit long-distance trail use at roughly 21 grams per liter of capacity.
