The Waypoint 35 is Hyperlite Mountain Gear's smaller-volume pack in the Dyneema Composite Hybrid lineup, combining a 35-litre main compartment with 6.5 litres of external mesh storage on the front and sides. At 666 g it sits well within ultralight base-weight targets, helped by a removable aluminium stay rather than a full internal frame — the back panel relies on foam padding for structure and comfort. Fabric is a mix of DCH50/DCH150 Dyneema Composite Hybrid with 100D Gridstop reinforcement, giving good abrasion resistance without the weight penalty of heavier packcloth. Closure is roll-top with a drawstring backup, and the single main compartment keeps the design simple — there is no dedicated sleeping bag compartment or lid pocket. A removable, padded hip belt with pockets, shoulder strap pockets, and a side loop for an ice axe round out the feature set. With an 18 kg load capacity and side-only compression straps, the Waypoint 35 suits weekend and short multi-day trips where a 40+ litre pack would be overkill, though the pared-back organisation means less structure for heavier loads.
