The Kelty Women's Redwing 50 – Prior Year is a women's-specific 50-liter hiking pack aimed at multi-day trekking, day hikes, and travel. Its AMP-Flow back panel uses tensioned mesh to keep the load off your back and promote airflow, while the FIT-Pro system lets you dial in torso length for a fit tuned to a shorter, narrower frame than most unisex packs offer. A hybrid U-zip front panel supplements the top-loading lid, so you can reach gear in the middle of the pack without unpacking from above. At 1390 g for 50 liters, the pack works out to 27.8 g per liter — reasonable for a full-featured trekking pack, though not a lightweight pick. This is the prior-year version, built from Poly 420D fabric, a tougher and slightly heavier material than what current-generation Redwings typically use. An internal frame, load lifters, a padded hip belt with pockets, two front and two side pockets, and hydration-reservoir compatibility round out a pack suited to weekend trips and week-long treks where durability matters more than shaving grams.
