Sea to Summit Ultra Sil Day Pack

The Sea to Summit Ultra Sil Day Pack is an extremely light packable 20 L backpack that, at just 72 g, ranks among the lightest packs of its kind. Made from 30D siliconized Cordura ripstop with a DWR finish, it stuffs down into its own pocket to about the size of a tennis ball, taking up almost no room inside a main pack. The construction is frameless with a simple foam back panel and no padded hip belt, making it a supplementary rather than a primary carrying pack. The main compartment closes with a top lid, and there are no side or front pockets, nor any hydration bladder compatibility, in keeping with its minimalist purpose. A daisy chain lets you clip small items to the outside. The manufacturer rates it comfortable up to 7 kg, enough for food, a layer of clothing, and essentials for a summit push or a day trip from base camp. It also works as an emergency backup if a main pack fails, or as a lightweight extra for travel where a full-size pack isn't needed.
