Zpacks Bagger Ultra 40L Backpack

The Zpacks Bagger Ultra 40L is a frameless ultralight pack with 40 L of capacity at just 343 g — the lightest of the comparable Zpacks models at this volume. Capacity breaks down as 29 L in the main body and 6 L in an external zippered pocket, plus two 2.5 L side mesh pockets, giving a frameless pack organized load layout. The body is Ultra 200X fabric (woven UHMWPE with a waterproof laminate), offering high abrasion and water resistance. Closure is via a top lid rather than the roll-top used elsewhere in the range. The front pocket is zippered, side pockets are stretch mesh, and there's a valuables pocket and a daisy chain for lashing gear externally. The hip belt is webbing only but removable, as is the internal frame stiffener, so weight can be trimmed further. The manufacturer rates it for just 9 kg, closer to a secondary pack than a primary bag for long treks with heavy food or winter gear.
