Zpacks Zero

The Zpacks Zero is a frameless 44-liter pack made from 2.92 oz/sqyd DCF Hybrid, a lighter-weight Dyneema Composite Fabric blend than the heavier-duty Ultra 100X used on Zpacks' other packs. At 303 g it works out to about 6.9 g per liter of capacity, among the lowest weight-to-volume ratios in the lineup, though that efficiency comes from a single roll-top main compartment, an unpadded webbing-only hip belt, and no internal frame — support comes entirely from the pack's fabric and the wearer's packing technique. Zpacks rates the Zero for weekend trips of one to two nights, reflecting its minimal structure: one stretch-mesh front pocket and two stretch-mesh side pockets provide quick-access storage, but there's no hydration sleeve and no load lifters to fine-tune carry at higher weights. Highly water-resistant DCF fabric handles light rain without a pack cover, making this a pack for hikers who have already committed to an ultralight, low-volume kit and want the lightest frameless option available rather than maximum durability or capacity.
