Description
The LRI Photon Freedom Microlight is an extremely small and light (7 g) light meant to live permanently on a keychain, in a repair kit, or in a first-aid pouch — something you carry at all times without noticing the weight. The white LED has a full-range dimmer, letting you turn it down for reading a map at night without blowing out your night vision, or crank it up for brief trail illumination.
Beyond the basic mode it offers four strobe patterns and an SOS signal, making it a small backup signaling tool if a primary headlamp fails or goes missing. Power comes from widely available CR2016 or CR2032 coin cells, with a claimed runtime of 12 to over 100 hours depending on brightness setting. IPX-7 waterproofing (submersible to 1 m) shrugs off rain or an accidental drop in a puddle. It won't serve as a primary trail light, but as a backup or supplementary source it's hard to beat on weight and reliability.
