Description

The True Utility Bare is a minimalist folding key knife with a 420 stainless steel blade finished with a titanium coating. The scaleless frame design keeps total weight to just 16 g — you'll barely notice it on a keychain or in a pocket. The 4.6 cm blade opens manually via a nail nick (no thumb stud or flipper) and is held open by a liner lock. Closed length is 61 mm, open length 110 mm — dimensions that place it firmly in supplementary EDC territory rather than as a full outdoor knife. The plain, non-serrated edge suits small everyday tasks: opening packages, trimming thread, cutting cord. There's no sheath, no scissors, no saw, no can opener — this is a single-purpose blade for light-duty and emergency use, not a multitool. For hikers, it makes sense as a near-weightless backup carried alongside a proper knife or multitool, not as a replacement for it when heavier cutting tasks come up on trail.
