Description
The Fizan Lhotse (green) is a three-section telescoping pole built from 7075 aluminium — a stiffer alloy than the ones used in Fizan's lighter four-section models — which shows up in the weight: 230 g per pole, 460 g per pair. Three segments instead of four give a sturdier, more stable shaft under load, at the cost of a slightly longer folded length.
The 65–140 cm adjustment range is wide, and combined with the universal-fit grip it covers users from shorter to very tall. Two basket sets ship in the box — 50 mm trekking baskets and 95 mm snow baskets — so the pole works on dry summer trail as well as in deeper snow. Carbide tips are replaceable, and rubber protectors are included for pavement sections.
The stiffer shaft, wide length range, and snow baskets make the Lhotse more of a general mountain pole than a fast-and-light option — well suited to loaded touring, higher elevations, and variable snow conditions, where stability matters more than shaving grams.
