The Tiger Wall UL2 Footprint is a tent-specific ground sheet designed as a companion accessory for the Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL2, cut to match the tent's floor outline rather than a universal rectangle. It is made from recycled 15D nylon ripstop treated with Big Agnes's HyperBead coating, which delivers a 1500mm hydrostatic head while avoiding PFAS-based durable water repellents — a detail that matters to hikers trying to reduce their gear's chemical footprint without giving up abrasion protection. At 148 g it adds only a small amount to total pack weight, and its main value is protecting the tent floor from grit, roots, and moisture on rough or wet sites, extending the life of the more expensive tent body. It also unlocks Fast Fly mode: pitching only the rainfly, poles, and footprint without the mesh inner drops the whole shelter to roughly 765 g, useful on trips where bug pressure is low and interior privacy is not a priority, such as fast alpine traverses or minimalist summer thru-hiking stints.
