The Hilleberg Kaitum 2 Footprint is a groundsheet cut to match the floor of the Kaitum 2 tent exactly, so no edge sticks out to catch rain and channel it under the tent. At 510 g it adds a modest amount to your pack weight, but it protects the tent's own floor fabric from grit, roots and abrasive rock, which matters more on multi-day trips where you pitch on rough ground each night. It attaches directly to the tent's pole system rather than lying loose underneath. This is tent-specific: it only fits the Kaitum 2 and is not interchangeable with other Hilleberg models.
