Description
This is a set of four guylines from Sea to Summit's Ground Control range: two 2.2 m cords and two 1 m cords, all in reflective braided nylon, with a combined weight of 18 g. That covers the two most common tie-out lengths needed on a typical tarp or single-wall shelter — long lines for the main pull-outs, short ones for side or ridge tie-outs.
Each line comes fitted with a micro LineLoc adjuster and a knot-free V-Toggle attachment, so tensioning and detaching a guyline at camp is a matter of sliding a toggle rather than tying and untying knots — useful when pitching or striking a shelter in the dark or in wind. The reflective weave means the lines show up under a headlamp beam, reducing the classic hazard of tripping over a nearly invisible dark guyline at night, and the UV-resistant construction is meant to hold up to repeated sun exposure.
At 18 g for the full set, this is a negligible addition to pack weight and a straightforward upgrade over improvised paracord tie-outs.
