Kelty Rumpus 6P Tent

The Kelty Rumpus 6P is a 3-season dome tent for six people, weighing 8370 g packaged, with a listed weight-per-person figure of 1395 g. Its standout feature is an extra-large vestibule — roomy enough to stash bikes or bulky gear before stepping into the sleeping area, keeping muddy boots and wet kit out of the main sleeping space. At over 8 kg, this is a car-camping or short-carry tent rather than a backpacking design; the weight and dome construction favour a stable, spacious pitch over portability. The 3-season rating covers spring through autumn conditions, not winter snow loading or sustained storm wind. It suits group or family camping trips at drive-up or short-walk-in sites where the oversized vestibule's storage space for bikes, boots or gear matters more than minimising pack weight.
