The Enlightened Equipment Enigma 10°F is a winter-rated top quilt built around 850 fill-power grey duck down, RDS certified, inside a 10D nylon shell with C0 DWR treatment. EE rates it to a -12°C limit and -6°C comfort temperature at roughly 692 g in Regular/Regular sizing, positioning it toward the warm end of the three-season-to-winter spectrum rather than as a true expedition piece. Unlike EE's hybrid Conundrum line, the Enigma keeps the classic top-quilt format: a closed, sewn footbox rather than a zippered opening, saving weight but sacrificing the ability to open the quilt fully into a flat blanket or vent it like a bag. Continuous baffle construction and a differential cut — the shell cut larger than the liner — help the down loft fully instead of compressing at the seams. Pad loops allow attachment to a sleeping pad to close draft gaps underneath, a standard requirement for quilts since they have no insulated underside.
