Katabatic Gear Sawatch 15 850

The Katabatic Gear Sawatch 15 850 is a cold-weather top quilt with a -9°C comfort rating, classified by Katabatic as a four-season/winter piece. It's filled with 850 fill-power hydrophobic duck down, and at 693 g total (474 g of that is down) it carries substantially more fill than Katabatic's three-season models — consistent with its much lower temperature rating. Continuous horizontal baffles keep the fill evenly distributed. The Pertex Quantum Eco Ripstop shell and Pertex Quantum Taffeta liner are recycled, bluesign-certified fabrics. A sewn trapezoidal footbox and a draft collar limit heat loss at exposed points, and the quilt attaches to the pad via loop straps. It packs to about 8 L, roughly double the lighter three-season models in the line. The down is RDS-certified, and the quilt is designed and finished in Salida, Colorado. It's available in blue or red and sized for users up to 167 cm (short). Given its sub-kilogram weight and temperature range, it's built for winter backpacking and cold-weather trips rather than lightweight summer kit.
