The Feathered Friends Condor YF 10 is a spacious rectangular (rather than tapered mummy) sleeping bag, handmade in Seattle, filled with 910 g of goose down at 900+ fill power and RDS certification. The rectangular cut sacrifices some thermal efficiency for room to move — a fit for hikers who value space over minimal weight, or for bags meant to be zipped together into a double (zippers run on both sides). The manufacturer's limit rating is -12°C at a total weight of 1588 g, roughly 132 g per degree — higher than a tapered expedition bag would show, a natural consequence of the rectangular shape's larger internal volume that the down has to warm. The liner is 20d nylon taffeta made from recycled fishing nets (NetPlus), and the Pertex YFuse shell carries a DWR treatment to shed moisture, though it's not a fully waterproof membrane like the expedition-grade shells. There's no hood at all, but a draft collar and draft tube along the zipper limit heat loss. The package includes a stuff sack and storage sack, and the recommended maximum user height is 182 cm. For comfortable sleep in cold conditions without feeling boxed in, this is a solid choice — though not an ultralight bag for thru-hiking.
