The Egret YF 20 is the women's bag built around Feathered Friends' newer Pertex YFuse shell — a PFAS/PFC-free water-resistant membrane rather than the DWR coating used on older models, paired with the same 900+ fill-power RDS-certified goose down. The manufacturer rates it at -7°C (20°F) comfort and -12°C limit, with a total weight of 785 g in size Small and 465 g of down fill.
The 20D nylon taffeta liner is made from recycled fishing nets (NetPlus), and the bag is cut for a shorter frame (fits up to 160 cm, 145 cm shoulder girth). An adjustable, fitted hood, draft collar, and zipper draft tube round out the design, and it ships with both a stuff sack and a storage sack.
Compared to the lighter Egret UL series, the YF 20 trades a bit of weight for a wider gap between its comfort and limit ratings — a useful margin for colder mountain nights where conditions can turn, at the cost of a modest weight penalty over the purely ultralight models.
