The Mountain Hardwear Lamina Eco AF 15F/-9C is a synthetic mummy sleeping bag built around Mountain Hardwear's welded Lamina baffle system, which bonds the insulation chambers without stitching. Traditional sewn-through baffles create thin points at every seam where cold can penetrate; the welded construction avoids that weak spot and keeps the fill more evenly distributed across the bag. Insulation comes from 730 g of Thermal.Q Recycled synthetic fill, wrapped in an undyed 20D recycled nylon ripstop shell and liner with a PFC-free DWR finish. Mountain Hardwear rates it to a -3°C comfort limit and -9°C lower limit, placing it in the 3-4 season bracket for spring, autumn, and mild winter nights. At 1090 g total weight and 8.1 L packed volume, it is noticeably heavier per degree of warmth than a comparable down bag – synthetic fill trades weight efficiency for reliability when damp and a lower price. A fitted contoured hood, full-length two-way zipper, and draft collar round out the feature set. Regular sizing fits users up to 182 cm, in a unisex cut.
