The REI Co-op Kindercamp 40 is a rectangular synthetic-fill sleeping bag for kids, rated for comfort camping down to 4°C (40°F). The cut fits children up to 152 cm (5 ft) tall, and the recycled polyester shell carries a PFAS-free DWR finish along with bluesign certification. At 751 g, the synthetic fill is fairly generous relative to the bag's 1389 g total weight — synthetic bags run heavier than down equivalents, but they hold their insulating properties when damp, a practical trait for kids' camping gear. The full-length two-way zipper sits on the right side and opens completely, letting the bag unfold into a blanket for use at home or in the yard — useful for younger kids who don't need it fully zipped on milder nights. It's not designed to couple with a second bag. A stuff sack is included, and the bag packs down to 9.5 L (41 × 25 cm).
