Description

The REI Co-op Kindercone 25 is a mummy-shaped kids' sleeping bag with synthetic fill, rated to -4°C (25°F) — a colder rating than the rectangular Kindercamp 40 in the same line. The mummy shape follows the body more closely and reduces the internal air volume that needs warming, which typically gives better thermal efficiency than a looser rectangular cut at a comparable fill level. The design accounts for growing kids — the length is adjustable, so the bag can serve for more than one season. The hood is shaped and drawcord-adjustable, helping retain warmth around the head on colder nights. Shell and liner are both recycled polyester with a PFAS-free DWR finish, and the material carries bluesign certification. The zipper on the right side is two-way and runs the full length of the bag. At 1446 g and packing to roughly 41 × 30 cm, it's somewhat heavier than fill-comparable adult bags, which is typical for kids' gear built for durability and adjustability. A stuff sack is included, and the bag fits children up to 152 cm tall.
