Description
The Side Entry Pod is an ultralight stuff sack made from Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF11) with a roll-top closure, designed to compress a sleeping quilt or clothing down for packing into a 40 to 55-litre backpack. Interior-taped seams give it strong resistance to moisture reaching the contents, though as with HMG's other DCF stuff sacks it is built for water resistance inside an already-protected pack system rather than certified full submersion. The 10-litre version weighs 41 g, keeping the organisational overhead low relative to the volume of insulation or clothing it can hold.
Its role sits between a general-purpose organiser pouch and a dedicated compression sack — it is not adjustable with compression straps, so volume reduction comes mainly from rolling and cinching the top rather than active cinching straps. This makes it a simple, low-fuss way to keep bulky soft goods dry and contained inside a larger pack. It suits backpackers already carrying HMG or similar DCF packs who want a lightweight, moisture-resistant organiser sized for a sleep system or clothing layer.
