The eVac Compression Dry Bag uses an eVent membrane in its base — a waterproof but air-permeable fabric that lets you push trapped air out through the bag wall during packing without opening the closure, speeding up compression while still holding a 10,000 mm hydrostatic head. Water can't get in, though per the spec the bag isn't rated as fully submersible. Closure is a hybrid roll-top-plus-buckle design, and four compression straps cinch the contents down further — typically a sleeping bag or a stack of down layers. The 70D nylon shell is heavier and tougher than ultralight alternatives, giving the bag more resistance to abrasion from sharp gear edges and pack contents.
