The UL version of the eVac Compression Dry Bag follows the same principle as its larger sibling — an eVent membrane base that lets air escape through the fabric without a purge valve — but in a lighter build. Thinner 30D Ultra-Sil nylon and ultralight compression straps on the roll-top closure cut both weight and packed bulk compared with the standard eVac line; the base's hydrostatic rating drops to 2,000 mm, enough to protect contents from damp inside a pack but not for full submersion.
Sizes run from 3 to 20 L, weighing 57–110 g depending on volume — a typical 8-litre bag comes in around 76 g. Skipping the valve keeps the construction simple and light, with compression handled by two ladderlock straps plus one side-release buckle strap on the 3–8 L sizes (two on the 13 and 20 L), while the membrane's air permeability purges the air.
A good match for compressing a sleeping bag or down layers when weight matters more than resistance to full submersion.
