The Minimalist 19 is a 329 g daypack built for day hikes and as a resupply-town or in-town pack for thru-hikers who don't need their full pack on short errands. At 19 L it's sized for a day's essentials — water, layers, snacks, maybe a light shell — accessed through a single drawstring-closed compartment rather than multiple zippered sections, keeping weight and complexity down. S-curved shoulder straps and a chest strap handle the fit; there's no hip belt at all, appropriate at this size but meaning the pack rides entirely on the shoulders once loaded near its 9 kg rating. Two stretch-mesh side pockets and a front mesh pocket hold water bottles or quick-grab items, and a padded laptop sleeve inside makes it double as a town or commute bag between trail sections. The 70D recycled Robic nylon shell has a PFC-free DWR coating for light weather resistance, though with no rain cover included, heavier rain calls for a pack liner. At 17.3 g per liter it's reasonably light for a daypack with this level of organization.
