The Kelty Asher 85 is the top-capacity model in the Asher line at 85 liters, intended for longer multi-day trips carrying a larger volume of gear. The main compartment opens three ways — top lid, front J-zip, and bottom access — making it easier to pack and retrieve items without unloading the whole pack. At 2208 g the pack works out to 26 g per liter, the highest ratio in the Asher range, reflecting the sturdier frame needed at this capacity. Unlike the smaller Ashers, this model's spec sheet shows no hydration-reservoir compatibility, something to plan around on longer routes by relying on bottles in the side pockets instead. The AMP-Flow back panel, chest strap, and load-lifter straps remain standard across the line. Storage includes one front pocket and two side pockets, built from the same 600D Polyester Oxford fabric. The padded hip belt with pockets keeps small items within reach.
