Kelty Outskirt 50

The Kelty Outskirt 50 is a classic 50-liter internal-frame hiking pack for multi-day trekking with a moderate load. The back system uses contact padding against the back rather than tensioned mesh, which ventilates less but keeps the load closer to the body on uneven terrain. At 1316 g the pack works out to 26.3 g per liter, an average figure among comparable 50-liter packs. The main compartment opens only from the top, with no side or bottom access — a simpler design than models with a J-zip. Storage organization is also minimal: one front pocket and one side pocket, fewer than most other packs in this group. It includes a padded hip belt with pockets, a chest strap, load-lifter straps, and hydration-reservoir compatibility, but no integrated rain cover. The 600D Polyester Oxford fabric resists trail abrasion. The Outskirt 50 works as a straightforward, no-frills pack for multi-day trips where extensive pocket organization isn't a priority.
