At just 8 litres and 348 g, the Trailblazer 8 is the smallest pack in the line and reads as a trail-running and fastpacking tool rather than a general hiking daypack — there's no hip belt at all, so the full load rides on the shoulders and the contact-padded back panel. At this volume, that's a reasonable trade-off, since an 8-litre load rarely gets heavy enough to need one. The shell is recycled RAPTOR Cross Lite 70D nylon with PFC-free DWR, the main compartment closes via a top lid, two zipped side pockets sit at the hips, and shoulder strap pockets give on-the-move access without stopping. Trekking poles attach through side loops, and a daisy chain on the back lets you clip on extra gear. It's hydration-bladder compatible, though no bladder is included. Reflective elements and a key clip round out a spec sheet built for fast movement rather than load-carrying — Montane lists day hiking and ultralight thru-hiking as intended uses, which reads as a supplementary pack for longer trips rather than a standalone one.
