The Mountainsmith Apex 60 is a 60-liter backpack for multi-day hiking, built on an aluminum hoop frame with a tensioned mesh back panel that keeps airflow across the back while transferring load to the padded, pocketed hip belt. An expandable front sleeve adds roughly 10 liters, bringing total capacity to 70 liters for longer resupply legs or bulkier cold-weather gear. The shell is 210D Robic Dynajin nylon ripstop, a durable fabric suited to repeated trail abuse rather than minimal weight. Access is through a top lid or a front panel J-zip, with one front pocket, two side pockets, and a single ice axe loop. Chest strap and load lifters help dial in the fit; the pack is hydration-compatible but has no built-in rain cover.
