The Fire Maple FMS-117T is an ultralight remote-canister gas stove: the burner sits on its own base connected to the canister by a hose, rather than screwing directly on top. That layout keeps the stove stable under wider pots and performs better in cold weather, when an upright canister would otherwise lose pressure. Titanium construction brings total weight down to 98 g, with the burner folding into a compact package and a carry bag included.
A 2,800 W burner and a 3.4-minute boil time for one liter put it among the faster options in the ultralight stove class. A simmer control lets you dial the flame down for real cooking, not just boiling water. There's no built-in windscreen, pressure regulation, or piezo ignition, so cold starts and exposed sites need a separate wind shield and a lighter.
It uses the Lindal B188 screw-on valve standard common to most European canisters, though canisters themselves aren't refillable. Built for backpacking and ultralight thru-hiking where weight is the priority, less suited to group cooking or cold-weather expeditions without extra gear.
