The Robens Fire Midge Titanium is an upright canister-top stove (EN417 threaded) that, thanks to its titanium construction and 45 g weight, ranks among the lightest gas stoves on the market. The body combines titanium, brass, and aluminium, and the folding pot-support arms collapse down to a tiny 3.7 × 5.2 cm package. At 2,600 W, output is solid for its class, but there's no piezo ignition — you'll need a lighter or matches to get it going, a common trade-off at this weight. There's no windscreen, and wind resistance is rated poor, which shows up in real-world fuel consumption and boil times when it's breezy; the stated 8.5-minute boil time for 1 litre of water reflects that. A simmer control is included, so it's usable for more than just boiling water. With its folding design, 2-year warranty, and included carry bag, the Fire Midge Titanium is built for solo ultralight backpacking, where every gram in the cook kit counts — the trade-off is that you'll want your own wind protection, since the stove doesn't bring much of its own.
