UltimaPeak MagFeets are a minimalist accessory rather than a stove: a set of three magnetic feet weighing just 4 g combined, designed to stabilize standard EN 417 threaded gas canisters when cooking on uneven ground. Rather than adding a wide support base like a conventional canister stand, the feet clip magnetically to the base rim and give the canister a wider, steadier footing on rocks, roots, or soft dirt.
Beyond stability, the feet double as protection: they keep the canister off wet or abrasive ground, which helps prevent the rust marks that bare steel canister bases can leave on cook pots stored alongside them, and they stop the loose canister from rattling around a pack during transport. Compatibility is limited to canisters using the EN 417 threaded valve standard, which covers the vast majority of screw-on gas canisters sold for backpacking stoves.
For ultralight and thru-hiking setups already built around a canister stove, MagFeets are close to a free weight add — 4 g for a meaningful gain in stability and a small reduction in gear wear.
